Foundation Ukraine

NOTE: Foundation Ukraine has paused fundraising efforts. Foundation Ukraine staff based in metro Detroit reported raising 150K+ USD through May, 2022. Over 50K USD was raised directly from the April 13, 2022 IAF-NWS Ukraine Relief Fundraiser.

Staff referenced the passing of H.R. 7691, funding of 100 million+ USD to the U.S State Dept. which included funding for de-mining and other first-responder related requests -- services provided in part by the State Emergency Services of Ukraine (SESU), the main Ukrainian agency Foundation Ukraine was backing.

As a result of this US aid funding, according to staff, "we left the Foundation Ukraine fundraising efforts in neutral but ready to go again if we need it for purposes other than that of the SESU. We also felt that public giving would be best directed into some other Ukraine cause that has not been financial backed such as these SESU lobbying efforts...We thank you...for all your help and being part of the stop-gap required to get the proper focus on the ground in Ukraine and the huge need for situational awareness to bring about these Congressional decisions."
