JAMES MCCLINTOCK is Endowed Professor of Polar and Marine Biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. McClintock is author of Lost Antarctica: Adventures in a Disappearing Land and an elected fellow of the Explorer's Club. His research, funded by the National Science Foundation, has been featured in National Geographic, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune, and the Los Angeles Times. 


McClintock is an engaging storyteller who has been featured on The Moth, and a spokesperson for The Nature Conservancy's "Can We Talk Climate" campaign.

FRANK LANGFITT, joined IAF for its first members event online. Langfitt spoke about the UK's response to COVID-19, the dramatic events surrounding PM Boris Johnson's hospitalization, and the fate of Brexit. 


Langfitt, who previously covered China for NPR, also shared insights on the geopolitical fall-out from the spread of the virus.  He is author of Shanghai Free Taxi: Journeys with the Hustlers and Rebels of The New China (Hatchette 2019)
